Rear diff and t case

What fluids do you guys use and what is the difference between the pto and xcase? 2002 escape 3.ol auto 145,000k and going strong

i used wallyworld 75w140 syn in the t-case and 80w90 in the rear diff. in the escape the t-cast and pto are the same thing.

That's what I got today the supertech 75w-140 and castrol 80w-90 syn. I was at my local oreilly's to get atf and a service manual and all they had was royal purple for $18.00 +/tax for the 75w-140. Thanks for the info about the pto, i was thinking they had to be the same part as many times as i have been under my escape. the other night i was replacing the serpentine belt and didn't know that the splash guard there on that side was one piece. I thought the whole from bottom of the plastic clip was one piece

. After about 30mins trying to wrestle fitting my arm from under the suv and angle it to clear between the splash guard and engine i realized i could remove that little piece with the 6-7 bolts after that it took fiftenminutes to get it back together......
