I have a 2000 super duty F250 with about 140k on it. They are all work miles on it. I do work it hard but I do take care of it it is one of my company trucks. The motor runs great no problems, it still runs tight and I would like to help keep it that way so I was thinking about Luca oil.fficeffice" /><O></O>

I'm gonna agree with LxMan here Lucas makes a great product/ products, it adds a few $s to the oil change, but in my point of view it's worth it in the long term!!!

Change the oil regularly, use a good oil, and a good filter.

I know someone who used the Lucas Oil Stabilizer on two of his vehicles. Both experienced catastrophic oil pressure loss about 100-200 miles later.

You don't need "stabilizer" if your oil is changed regularly.

Just my opinion, do as you please

I totally agree. If what you've been doing has gotten you to 140k miles without any problems why would you even consider changing anything now? In my opinion you should just keep doing what has worked for you this long.

I've known a lot of people that swear by lucas products, but I've never bought into the "snake oils" thing. Maybe if you run out of oil or wait too long between changes, but I dont use them. I did see a demonstration for I believe BG moa where they dropped the oil pan off an engine and ran it for 5 or 10 minutes and the crank wasnt even hot! I still didnt buy into it, I wondered how often they replace the rod/main bearings in that engine
