I am getting ready to attempt this on my 93 150. I already have a 6 in lift on it and intend on using the same springs. I am starting to figure out that I wont be able to use my long radius arms. Is there an extention that is out there that you know of or will I have to fab something up. I don't have a problem with this but if it's possible to save some work than that's better.

its a lot easier to use springs for the 78/79, no fab work involved, they bolt straight up. you have extended arms on your ttb i take it? not sure who makes the extended ones for the solid axles but i know they make them. you may still have to relocate your rad arm brackets.

I found some at west coast broncos for $775. I'm on a budget a lot smaller than that. I'm going to fab some up with the old radius arms and the ones I've got. I enjoy this kind of stuff so I'm not worried about it. I recently installed a DIY mass air conversion and it works just fine when people told me it wouldn't. Thanks for the info on this guys. It's gonna be my bible for a few days.

ok, im fixing to put a dana 44 under my 94 F150. im running 38.5s on a TTB axle haha....but im trying to find some knuckles that wont break under extreme offroad conditions with 38.5s.....any ideas man?
im getting moser shafts and i know those will hold up nicely.

Check any of the prefab guys you can find on pirate, ballistic, ruffstuff, etc, they should either be able to make you waht you need or already have something close to what you need in the way of a bracket to weld to your frame. Or you can get creative and bolt it on if you design it well enough to capture some of the other bolt holes around the area (steering box might work, for example - not for certain, I haven't taken a close look at that year frame). i have read this a couple times and cant seem to wrap my little brain around some stuff
What in the hell is a C-bushing, what does it do where does it go, why in the hell does this damn thing matter
this leads me to my next question, i plan on going from a 4" lift to a 6" lift, you said that for a 6" lift you would need radius arm drop brackets. would the drop brackets for the ttb setup work for this? i have no problem moving them around and bolting them in a different spot on the frame im just curious as to whether they would work or not
also does anyone know if the 6"s of lift will need a longer front drive shaft
and if i just buy the 6" lift coils for a 78 f150 would that give me 6"s of lift still using the stock upper coil bucket from the ttb setup
finally I plan to use the steering componenets from an 92-97 f250 or f350, would i still need to make the bracket for the drag bar? or does the one on their frame bolt on to where i can just bolt it back to my frame

c bushings are the bushings that go around the axle and held on by ther radius arm/end cap... they play a big role in the caster (impotant for alignments)
i have seen 3 SAS setups with the TTB drop brackets so i think your good to go there.
the 80-96 coil buckets are lower to the frame than 78 coil buckets.. so buying 6in 78 coils will net ATLEAST 7-8in of lift over the ttb but probly more since just an SAS will lift the truck some
you need a drag link from a 80-96 F350, not f250
also if your talking about the trac bar you need to make a bracket to nolt or weld to the frame...
