Here's what I would do. Take one tire's weight rating and multiply it by four. That would be what you could legally haul. But, most vehicles are rated way less than the tires rating. So you couple probably take 10-15% off of the tires max, and should be pretty close.
Hopefully someone who owns a similar vehicle will tune in.

Ford.com only goes back to 1996 for on-line copies. I would call Ford Customer Service and ask them. They were able to send me a build sheet for my VIN. Short of trying to find an old owner's manual on eBay or Craigslist, they would know how to find out your info.

It all depends Ford offered the F-250 as a light duty and heavy duty model.
If your truck has the semi floating rear axle I think the gvw is 6800lbs if its the HD truck it has a 8000lb gvw. The rear axle in the HD has the 10.25 or the Dana 60.
