I had an issue with my back up sensors not working a month or so. Determined I that one of them was bad, so bought one and replaced the bad one and everything seemed to be good. Well now every once in a while when I put my truck in reverse it will beep, beep, beep, and then go to a solid tone as if I was right up on something close but there is nothing behind me. What would cause this?

 

Could be ice or dirt on the sensor.

 

no ice here where Im at. Dirty maybe. Are you talking about on the outside of the sensor or on the contacts?

 

Outside. But it wouldnt hurt to put electrical grease on contacts
