flash flood videos

last year with all the rain I was stuck about everyday if I left pavement and hit anything with bentonite on it, in it, along it.

cottonwood rd is a fast and pretty way to get from escalante to big water, but a sudden shower had me stuck 4 hrs waiting for it to dry out, many went on ahead and made it, even a 4x2 chevy with truck camper and a SR5 with pop up in tow but I couldn't move

we did meet up with a few folks who also were not moving well, a BLM fella with 350 flatbed and others, one of whome told me about David rankin and his films of flashfloods in our part of utah.

here is the link, I keep hoping to see my truck!

YouTube - rankinstudio's Channel

people that have never seen it flood in the washes and even some who have, simply dont know the power of water.

my wife's cousin born and raised in the canyons still managed to drown trying to cross a wash in his truck, had 4 days of supplies with him but figured like we all do, "Hell I can Make that!"
and then you're in it and fighting for your life when you didn't have to.

anyone ever find a set of tires that will run good on a F250 in the muck left after the water goes back down you let me know please!
