help needed to i.d. mirror

Hello,
I am new here to this forum.
I have been told this is a late 40's Ford mirror, but not sure. Can someone identify it?
Thank you

First, welcome to the forum, nice to have you here.
Next, what you have there is a 48-52 Ford F series rear view mirror. Hope this helps you out.

thanks for that information...

I will put it on ebay to sell with the CORRECT information.
I like all old trucks. Right now though, I am restoring a 1952 Dodge Power Wagon.
I am almost done with it now
I bought this mirror a few years ago on ebay; it was misidentified as a Dodge truck mirror.
I found out that it did not fit my truck, and someone on the power wagon forum thought it was a Ford mirror. That's why I posted here, to get the scoop.
In the future I may run across a vintage Ford truck and decide to restore it.
I now know where to go for timely and accurate information. Thanks again!
