1966 Chrome Instrument bezel

Mac's has a chrome dash cluster for 1965-1966 F-100 Custom Cab for $112.95. Their web address is MAC’s: Dealer of Restoration Parts for Classic, Antique, Vintage Ford Autos, Cars & Trucks: Street Rod Parts, Vintage/Classic Ford Manuals & much more!

Last one on eBay went for $150. It was listed as aftermarket and also came with a clear insert with gauge surrounds.

I called Macs on Friday and they couldn't confirm that theirs was the same item. There was no pic in their catalog and they could not find any image to compare it with either. They did not even have one available that they could visually check since it is drop shipped from supplier, but I would bet it is the same dash.

If you get one let us all know how it looks, fits, and so forth, since I expect there are several of us (myself included) who need one of these.

I hate bidding on an item when it is readily available thru catalog sources at a much cheaper cost.

Thanks for the info! I was hoping to find another source myself because i'd rather just buy one than "compete" for the privilege!

If you're talking about the sweep (non-round) speedo dash, the reproduction new ones are made by Dennis Carpenter. You can simply buy direct from them. They are the ONLY company that makes them, everyone else just sells what they produce. Though, if you have a favorite vendor, you can buy it from them and give them the business.

One of these dash bezels recently sold on ebay for SIX HUNDRED AND SIXTY DOLLARS!!

The ad clearly stated it was a new reproduction, but that fact was lost to the clueless person that bought it.

Guess I'll have to dig through my Dennis Carpenter catalog again because I didnt see one in there last time I looked.
Thanks for the tip.....
BTW... I REFUSED to bid up any higher than what I knew I could get mine refurbished for which was around $150 +/-

Carpenter had the bezel (C5TZ10838A) on one of his many tables at the 3 Day 2008 F100 Super Nationals Truck Show & Swap Meet held in Knoxville TN, so I know he has it.

FTE sponsor Carolina Classics in Durham NC may have it: 800-598-4211 (carolina-classics.com).

If you are in LA LA Land, FTE sponsor Blue Oval Truck Parts (866-258-6825) may also have it, their store is located in Anaheim.

Bill, Rick, Dennis, and others reproduce those parts and offer them to each other through their dealer network. Carolina Classics owns the side molding for 65-66 pickups and offers it to his dealers. Carpenter does the same with his parts. So if one of them is repopping an item it will usually be available to all.

Like to take this opportunity to welcome u to FTE if I have not already done so, Welcome to the Family of Ford Truck Enthusiast!! If the original is available, there are some plastic rechome shops that can restore them. Had the sweeping speedo dash, and dash bezel restored, included repairing couple minor cracks, very pleased with results. This was few yrs ago and the total cost came to $125.

Orange CA? The only place I know of that sells Ford repro parts in Orange is The Truck Stop (truckandcarshop.com).

FTE sponsor Blue Oval Truck Parts is located in Anaheim. I posted their phone number in post #9. Did you try there?

Heard about the repro but have not seen in Ford supplier's catalogs, would be interested with your take on how close the swirl or design on face of the panel is to the original, as well as, the plastic chromed bezel rings for the gauges. If get opportunity to post pic's please do so. Thx.

Here are photos of the aftermarket dash from one of the eBay auctions.

Dash looks pretty good.
