Is there any way to figure out which flash version I'm running?

 

Go to a dealership and have them pull the OASIS report and see when it was last flashed. Also, do the injectors buzz after shutting it off?

 

No buzz that I hear

 

Ok, how long have you owned it and have you ever taken it for work at the dealership? Its either an early flash (better mileage) or one of the newer inductive heating flashes (better cold starts). The only way to know for sure is to get an OASIS report. The buzz flashes started around early '05 I think, so if you know nothing has been done in that long then its an earlier flash.

 

I got it about two months ago and have not taken anywhere for work. I do all my own usually but when it comes to software I have minimal capabilities. I guess I'm going to have to take it in to the dealer or get a oasis report elsewhere.

 

I think some people on the forums can get them for you, but a dealership can pull it up if you give them the VIN.
