My platinum has the same bumper as Pete's. It is the 2001 bumper. The newer trucks had a color matched lower half on the bumper (My father has a 2005 and it is that way).

 

This is my bumper on my '01, with the Larait package. I don't remember seeing where the Platinum package changes the bumper. I could be wrong again. lol.

EDIT: Looking at your gallery, I see you have the same bumper as Pete.

 

Rick they have the same bumper, just don't have the black plastic piece that goes around the bottom of the bumper that the rest of the trucks have. The 05 bumper has a plastic painted piece that goes all the way around the top of the bumper, and then the bottom is chrome.

 

I guess that is how it is. I see you and Pete has the same.

Funny thing is i noticed that his grille was a modded 05 in ct because i have a 05 grille and im so torn on cutting it or waiting till i can afford a bumper

 

I have had my Platinum for about 6 years now. I am thinking about selling it finally if anyone is interested please let me know. It is in great shape, roll n lock bed cover, running boards, original visor, back seat is almost brand new, carpet in great condition, platinum floor mats still, interior dash and console are beautiful. Steeling wheel & driver's seat are worn I can get it fixed but it's a girls truck, so she's been babied! Let me know

It is a nice truck. She's been well taken care of, serviced on time and everyone around here knows who it is =) When I first saw it I fell in love with it. I have never heard of one before

 

Same here, I hadn't heard of the 'Platinum Edition' til I found this one. Went to Long Ialand NY, (over 4 hours from me) and bought it on the spot. I love it more everyday, my wallet doesn't thanks to this site though!!

Yeah I went looking for a 4 short 250 short bed and didnt want white and the dealership had one...and it was this one. I had to call the bank and tell them to get me numbers and what is a Platinum Edition.
