Ford 2011 Superduty Photos and News on the homepage
Hey guys,
There has been a bunch of updates lately on the homepage, much of it on the new Super Duty line.
So? How does it look? What do you think about the grille size and appearance? LCD screen seem like a solid step up? Opinions on the interior? Is it missing anything? Does it need something?
Going with the gas engine or the diesel? Do you feel a desire to get the new Super Duty, whether it's an upgrade or a replacement of an older model?
I love it if i had money i would definitly get me me one of those things.
I would get a 6.7 diesel and would like the king ranch package 4WD
looks good dont think its missing anything but that loud diesel sound.
In the theme of go big or go home, it works. I don't really care for the lights looking so big and the grille so big, but it's not butt ugly like the last generation was. The inside is nice, and the side treatments etc look good.
This would probably be the first year after 2003 I would consider buying, but it would be a long long time before that happens.

Thats it! Without a doubt they have ruined one of the best vehicles ever made. I had a hard time with the 2008+ grills, now this? The ugliest grill ever made? Really?
The 2005-2007 Superduties with the V-10 and torqushift tranny was the pinnacle of superduty trucks for me.

Time to get rid of the F-150 on the homepage and put up a Super Duty. The 09 F-150 is yesterday's news. The Super Duty is the latest Ford truck news.
Put a Raptor on there, too. It's cutting edge truck stuff.
Our homepage is a little lacking...

I hope there are other grill options. Those 2 giant chrome rectangles are too much. The headlights are too massive.
I'm disapointed that they went with F150 seats, My '08 seats are the best I've ever had. I didn't like my '06 F150 seats at all.
The rest of the truck looks really nice. I like the hood and the new dually fenders. Glad to see that the cab and bed are pretty much the same. (although the fuel door changed on the bed to accomodate the urea fill)
The V10 will be greatly missed in the 250/350. I'm sure the 6.2 will be good (good enough anyway). Let's hope for a 7.0 version.
The 6 speed auto looks like it will be a good one. Based off the current excellent Torqshift auto.
Lets cross our fingers on the 6.7. It needs to be great right out of the chute, and Ford knows that better than we do.
Pushing and pulling levers is, sadly, a thing of the past. My guess is it's more expensive to build them that way, even though they cost less. No more linkages, hydraulics, etc.
On topic...kinda...the new LCD and guages look awesome! However, with most speed limits in the US being posted in the "5s" (25, 35, 45, 55, etc.) I don't know why more car makers don't make the speedo 5, 15, 25, 35 etc. etc.

I like the new look as well but it will be awhile before I can get one. Just wondering what the aftertreatment for the diesel will cost? These new EPA rules are going to kill the diesel market. Just my 2 cents.

Prices so far on the market are showing to be in line with the price of diesel, per gallon (i.e. about $2.50/gal). I don't know how much the SD will require, but the replacement interval in most non-heavy duty vehicles is being designed to co-incide with regular maintenance intervals.
I'd expect $25-30 extra per oil change in these trucks.
