Rich called me while I was in Miller, MO. and we were able to meet in Springfield for some lunch!

Good to see you and Penny again, Rich!

We are home safe and sound...and still full!

Welcome!
No offense intended by the " old timer " remark. Just meant people that have been around for a while ( 8,500 posts? ). Are you one of the " founding fathers "? How long has this been going on? Found it by accident ( glad I did ) trying to Google parts interchange. New to the FORD truck world. Have ( & still own other FORDs, at least one). Like to tell people I have blue blood - Blue Oval blood. How's the wedding planning going? Mt. Vernon, Mo. is that by Joplin or K.C., I forget. Being by St. Louse, tend to think of the one over in Ill. ( I-57 & I-64 ).

Mt vernon, Mo is near Joplin.

I also found FTE while scouring the internet for information about my last truck.

You've found a wonderful source for hands on tech knowledge, and some just plain old good people.

Ha Terry, thanks for the offer on lunch will take you up on that next time. Was nice to meet the misses and daughter, really nice time chatting trucks over tea and lunch.

101oldfordman, no problem, chat away, talk it up, ask all the questions you have. Hope you can come down to the G2G around the end of this month.

Do not worry Terry we will be in a Ford truck this time, lmao. I am trying to figure out the park/pavillion name from last time???

Will let you know if I can remember it.

Thanks for the welcome. Have already had a bunch of stupid questions answered. Very glad I found . Great place! Am hoping to try & make it. Have you decided on a date yet? Didn't matter to me, so I didn't vote. Depending on finances & Old Rusty, should be there. Please don't be frightened by it. It's a beater. Bodywork is probably not going to happen. Runs good from what little I've driven it. Hoping tech. school gets it done in time. Promised Grey Ghost a bag of RrrrufflesŽ Have Rrrrridges. May have to drive The Beast, at least it's still a FORD.

Geez, you've all been busy since I was here earlier.
I got rear ended in my Pinto, when i was in collage. I asked the school's body shop teacher if they'd like to fix for it class instruction. He said they would like to do it. I got all new parts for it, then took it in. A semester and and almost another semester, they finally finished it. well sort of, they didn't have enough time to paint it. I was happy I got it fixed for free, but damn, almost a year without it and they didn't even paint it. That torqued my nuts. I didn't know it was going to take so long to fix it, and I had to get around so I had to by something to drive. I ended up buying an 81 Courier. What I paid for that, I could have paid to get my Pinto fixed, in a hell of alot less time.

Rich, I know better than to drink and drive. Besides the fact that the cops around these parts are a#%holes. I've been pulled over twice for DWI, and I hadn't had a drink either of those times. The second time I got pulled over I ended up walking home at 1 Am, I got home at 8 AM. It's about a Half hour drive From Ozark to where I lived at the time.

(as long as you can super glue the blue oval back onto it, you'll be fine!)

I had a '75 F250 in college that truly was a beast. My best friend and his dad snuck over in the middle of the night and rearranged the letters on the hood to spell "DORF". It was a great April fool's joke that lasted clean into May. The sad thing was that I was under the hood pretty regularly the whole time. They both got to the point that they wouldn't come over when I was working on it because they couldn't keep a straight face. They finally spilled the beans when they couldn't take it anymore. Talk about a blonde moment...

What this has to do with anything? Not a clue. It's just been one of "those" weekends.

Good morning boys and girls.

After a glorious Sunday off, I'm back at work.

Where's the coffee?
