Thanks for the "interevention" with my Ford truck/truck part horder problem. I am up to 7& and 1/2 Ford trucks, but am trying to thin the herd.
Intervention, my rump. I'm jealous!

Happy October everyone!

I officially now have just three weeks to figure out what to get the wife for her b-day . Oh yeah - I bought her a camper and she bought me a van. I wonder if she will be happy with just that? Nah - takes too much wrapping paper and there are no gift bags that big.

Who me?

Ok - I admit it. I take my camping seriously. I used to drag my camping accessories around in the back of the truck during the camping season. I have been accused by some of my co-workers of being able to live out of the back.

Not much - probably cleaning the garage up and getting my tools in order so I can get going on cutting firewood for the winter. I'm already a month behind due to health & weather issues (going camping last weekend didn't help ). I rebuilt the transmission in the Tracker last winter and the garage hasn't quite been the same since.

It dates back to my first experiences with message boards. Along with my love of big vans, I also am a big fan of the AMC Gremlin. At one point I had a '78 Gremlin that I was planning on rebuilding and using as a daily driver. Title issues stopped that plan cold in its tracks and I eventually gave it to a buddy who wanted to give it a go. I had joined a yahoo group for AMC fans and had to come up with a username. Well, one thing led to another and I wound up with Grems4ever as both an e-mail & username. It kinda stuck and I still use it. It represents one of my finer moments of creativity. Most of my other creative attempts have ended up crashing to the ground in a dazzling display of duct tape, cheap spray paint, and bathtub caulk.

One of my cousin up in Minnisota had a Gremlin. I don't know what year it was, but it had a 401,, auto and Ford nine inch in it. He had to put wheelie bars on just to keep it from going over backwards.

Rich, I may see you at Smorr on Saturday, I'm still not sure if I'm going though. I left you a PM to see if you were going, but you didn't read it I guess, since you didn't reply back.
