Glad you got it fixed. I'm surprised you didn't have a bad leak with the thermostat not seated properly, I did that once and it leaked all over when I started it up.

Mine rarely goes past the O. It sits right around the N or the O all the time.

I had a t-stat get miss seated and ended up breaking the housing and water outlet. I was lucky that oreillys had a replacement.

The dash temp gauge on these trucks are kinda funny. I think they give a little bit of a low reading because the dash gauge sending unit is in the block. While the outlet and t-stat is on the head.

Glad you got it fixed.

i am now having similar problems with my 300...it just started this in the last few months but it does not matter the outside air temp it only comes up to temp when it wants to and thats very rarely....blows hot air all the time though...so im thinkin ECT sensor or maybe the gauge? any other ideas? ... if it is the ECT sensor giving faulty reading could that contribute to low MPG? even though the coolant may be at the porper temp?

my truck does feel like its pulling a boat anchor and it does sound like a helicopter...but im running 35" tires with 3.55 gears and its straight piped...so I dont think those are a result of the fan clutch LOL
