Tall 13" OD filter?

I have a Ford Motorsport chrome air cleaner - 13" OD and I can't find anyone that has a 13" filter but K&N. The problem with K&N is that the only 13" filter they have is 6" tall, and it'll probably cause a little clearance problem with my hood (cutting a hole in my hood isn't an option, so don't go there lol). I was shooting for a 4-5" tall filter but I can't find anybody that offers them in a 13" OD. Does anybody know where I can find one?

And is there really a performance benefit in a 6" tall filter? I've heard of guys stacking two of the same filter on top of each-other but I thought it was only for looks.

Here is the Minimum Air Filter Size Formula:

Area= CID times RPM divided by 25,500

Height= Area + .75 Divided by Diameter times 3.14

For replacement filter, I would go to a real autoparts store or call direct to Wix- they will have a filter for you.

For off road use, increase the height by 1.5 to 2 times

Your formula can't be right - it says I need a 21.9" tall filter...
