1992 5 speed manual tranny

i need to change the fluid what do i need?

I changed mine in my 92 F150 with a 5sp. It uses Automatic transmission fluid. I used full sythentic. It will take just under 4 quarts. Shifts much better now.

Yeah-the 1992 F series Service Manual says to use "Mercon" Automatic fluid.

I am going to put synthetic Mercon rated fluid in mine next time. Could help the MPG-cant hurt it.
