Pick- Pirelli Scorpion ATR, Firestone Destination AT or Bridgestone Dueler AT Revo

I'm looking at these three tires - Pirelli Scorpion ATR, Firestone Destination AT or Bridgestone Dueler AT Revo - in the size of 245/65/17 for my 07 Explorer. The truck is driven to work (10 miles round trip) by my wife during the work week. During the weekends it use to go for drives of between 100 to 400 miles (mostly on road) and driven to the shore to fish (4x4 on loose beach sand and aired down to about 15 psi). Anyone have any input on any of these?

I have the Pirelli Scorpion on my wifes Sport Trac. They are pretty dependable. Have been lasting a long time, looks like next year it will be time for a new set of tires. But I had them on since 05 and she puts an average of 40,000 miles a year on the Trac. My only complaint is with real slushy snow. Other than that they are pretty good.

Check Tire Rack ratings. Revos get good writeups, not sure about the others.

There is a guy on another brand site with Revo's doing the progress report. Troubles with keeping them balanced. A couple others, some good, some no good. Expect 50k for miles. Destination AT's getting good comments there also.

Firestone Destination's
Put them on my wife's 04 Escape (fwd) and she loved them, no problems in snow or rain and very quiet. I am planning on puting a set on my 05 Sport trac (2wd) before winter to repalce the junk Wranglers that are on it now

Revo's

I have them on both of my Fords. The best tire out there for light truck or suv. Check with Tire Rack for more info. Excellent tire in snow!!!!!!!

I'd go for the Destination AT's myself. Had them on a Jeep and loved them, so much so I wished I could have changed them over to the Explorer when the motor blew in the Jeep - but they weren't the right size.

Revo's

I put the Revos on my 2000 Mountaineer. They are terriffic in the snow! They also seem to be getting very good mileage. I went way oversize, with 265/70 x17's on Cobra "R" wheels. Having them "Road-Force" balanced made a world of difference - smooth as glass after that. Most Discount Tire stores have the equipment to do that.
