Full floaters have the axle stub/hub that protrude past the wheel studs and have 8(?) bolts that hold the axle to the hub. (6" or so)
99's and newer have semi-floating axles. (not protruding, like an e 250)

Uh, the E-250 has semi-floating axles, the E-350's are full-floaters.
I have a late 99 and have seen the newer ones while searching for one with 4.10 gears to replace what I have.
