cooling parts source problem

hey guys. I am in need of a new thermostat housing and water pump bypass manifold for my 1964 ford f100 with a 292. I had found them at one time at sacramento vintage ford but now cant seem to find the water pump bypass manifold. Is that the only source?????

It is a pain but you or a mechanic can make one, if all else fails. Mine is home made, works great.

water pump bypass manifold.
By water pump manifold are you talking about the little flange that bolts to the water pump and has a small hose going to the intake manifold (above the timing cover)?

I need one too but I'm just going to make one because the one that I have is a mess.

Making one is may be less hassle than trying to find them new. Dont be afraid to use heavier wall tubing than the flimsy stuff the originals had. Though I didnt measure it, the wall I used is at least 3 times the original thickness. No problem, and it will definitely outlast the engine, probably me.

I have a used water pump that seems to be a good candidate for going back on an engine as is. Maybe it's bypass fitting is also in good shape. Will check tomorrow.
