94 f-150 high idle.

ive been batteling with this problem for a good month and a half now and im at a complete loss on what it could be. a while ago i could not get it to start because the timing was out but that has been fixed for about 5 months. at idle it tends to idle at probably 1500 2k rpm.(i dont have a tach so i dont know) ive replaced the tps,iac motor, oil pressure sending unit.all in the last month or so. its still doing it. i adjusted the idle with the computer and got it it idle at 900 rpm which was sweet and it said that everything was ok. however when its surging i can hok up the scanner and it says that the spout curcut is open and the tps is out of range. i dont want to try and adjust it right now because i was reading somewhere else that the butterfly valve could get stuck in the bore of the throttle body. i chacked for vaccum leaks and theres none, everything in the ignition has about 3k on it max. timing is on the money (trust me i know). what the ****!!!!

did you properly adjust the tps when you put it in? Also you might want to clean the TB and make sure the plate is closing properly. I[ve seen where it can get stuck slightly open.

Yes adjust the TPS not the throttle. And check the spout wire as your code suggests.

i adjusted everything as per what the scanner said to do. throttle body is clean. i dont think that the throttle plates are sticking but i am going to pull the throttle cable off and feel it by hand and see if its binding or sticking.

Did you put a meter on the SPOUT connector to confirm that it is a dead short?
