Question starting system....diagram?

I am rebuilding a 1969 bronco. It has a 1972 302 V8. I am researching how to rebuild the starting system from scratch. I need some direction. what wire goes where? from the Battery to the fender mount solonoid to the starter and then what...? Also the ignition system, from the fire wall to the ig coil to the distributer then what... need some diagrams or some detailed help. Any input will be greatly appriciated! thanks so much!

WOW! THAT'S GREAT! It doesn't get any better than that! One question though...well really I guess I would like your opinion...My truck is a 69, the motor is a 72...is much modification needed to use the 69 wiring diagram to tie it into the 72 motor? I would so no..., or at least very little that is. What do you think?

Just compare the two years by the diagrams. There should be very little if any difference in the starting system. Athough wiring changed thru the years with the addition of marker lights, backup lights, later Duraspark igniton, and moving some functions to the steering column, they all have basically the same starting circuit.

302 starting problem

I have a 74' with a jasper 302 installed. My distributor went bad and i replaced it and the coil. I get spark, and have brought the engine to TDC a half dozen times. yet I still cannot get it to fire. Any ideas?

Double check your firing order. as silly as it sounds...it is an easy mistake to make. After that make sure your wires are seated to the plugs correctly...what I am saying is, check and double check all the basics first. Rule all that stuff out first. I have seen bad distibuters of the shelf.(all though rare) you say it was running fine until the distributer conked out?

I will check the basics again, and verify I am getting spark to the plugs. I have also noticed the accelerator pump is not stroking as far, so I am going to make sure I am getting fuel. Thanks for the ideas though, its frustrating when the ole girl doesn't run.
