OK you have me sold.. I registered just so I can keep tabs on this Thread. I have built several custom turbo cars and this sounds like a good next project BUT since you have already done all the hard work I'd be interested in a price as well.
You have done a GREAT job on your set up.
Hurry and get that thing on the dyno I want to see some numbers and I want a price.
I'd even be interested in just the hot and cold side piping... I can order all the rest of the parts myself if I had the piping.
That should take less work, the lighting manifolds would not have to have the mods they do for the V10s.

I've never looked into it, so I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure the Lightning manifolds won't work on the 3V 5.4 engines.
The L headers are for 2V engines. I think they're configured differently, with different mounting points.

That is correct-the 3V manifolds will not bolt onto a 2V head. The bolt pattern and port style are completely different.

Not being familiar with the 3V's, I wasn't sure. But knowing the Gen 2 L intimately, I figured everything was configured differently.
Thanks for verifying that, Johnny!

I am not trying to start a hashing session, but I am curious. All of the V10 vs PSD discussions, just an addition of a turbo to a V10 would really narrow the gap in differences, wouldn't you think? With that in mind, the cost difference of a diesel would probably be more than a turbo kit for a V10. Keep in mind that I like diesels. Just a curious observation.

Sorry, I did not mean to give bad advice.
I thought I knew what I was talking about.

TURBO GASSER V-10 ?
I have a super-mint '05 V-10 4wd. Sad to say, like most of them, it came with 3.7's. That means, when towing our 11,000 lb. worth of yacht and trailer, I can forget about overdrive. And even fully loaded garbage trucks pass me on those long up-grades here in the mountain west.
Sooooo...damn..a turbo. sounds great. But here's my question. Won't a turbo. increase the raw power of my V-10 gasser motor ? A BIG increase ?
Isn't there something connected to that V-10 gasser motor of mine ? Something called a TRANSMISSION ? How come the diesels have a bigger, stronger TRANSMSSION to deal with THEIR big increase in power over my gasser? How come you can't order that much more powerful diesel motor with the TRANSMISSION I have in my gasser V-10...? Anyone have any ideas...?
