side window question about pop rivets

My neice recently shot out the passenger side window by accident on my 1978 Ford F150 Supercab. I bought the replacement glass from LMC. I knocked out the old glass. We are currently trying to install the new glass into the chrome trim that should surround it. It seems to me that the chrome piece must be taken apart in order to install the new glass. It appears to be held together with pop rivets. Does anyone know what size these rivets are or where I can get them? Will anything else work in place of the rivets? Also, it is the moveable type side window, does anyone know a trick to removing the end of the latch so I can attach it to the new glass?
