4.2 rebuild kits

I bought a really nice '97 F150 XLT, 4.2 auto, with a rod knock. I'm wanting to tear the motor down and rebuild it myself. Where can I get a cheap rebuild kit for this motor? I need everything you would find in a complete rebuild kit except pistons.

So far, I've found nothing. I found a few really expensive kits and most places don't carry enough to make your own kit. Local auto parts are really expensive.

BTW, I knew the motor was blown when I bought the truck. It has a ton of new parts on it and no rust. So, for $450, it was worth it. The guy probably just spent that on the new tires alone.
