Transmission crossmember?

I haven't found any threads or references for the motor and tranny combination I'm installing in my truck, but I think that the T-19 should clear the crossmember, but it will be very close. So from the Bellhousing to the crossmember it's 16 inches.

In this photo you can see that the tranny will just clear the front of the crossmember and I should be able to fab a tranny mount to the rear of the crossmember. Anyone see any fault with my plan or see something I'm missing?

You may be asking the right question, but may also be the first person to try this. So everyone is waiting and watching YOU!

C6 I can tell you. T-19 Eh?!

But I'll bump this back up - seems kinda quiet these last few days!

Bob, you can go two ways; go direct to M.E.C. Inc. Gene Sanders

or
Flathead Jacks.

A footnote to this Thread is I did end up cutting out the center section of crossmember in order for the T-19 to clear. For more info check out thread; Another piece of the puzzle - Page 6 - Ford Truck Enthusiasts Forums
