Im just curious what kind of miles people have on their IDI's. I know that these are stone reliable motors, so how many miles is on yours?

I have 311,000 on mine.

just rolled over 377000 this weekend. lol, I was running E.T.s with it at the diesel drags in Tulsa this weekend. EVERYONE had their cameras out as I was staging. lol. 9600 lbs. ran 24.07 @ 55 mph. I just got into 4th gear when I hit the 1/4. Pretty consistent with it, made it to the 3rd round.

Mine has 10k showing on it now. I bought it from the original owner with 1k showing on it. He couldnt remember if it was the 3rd or 4th time it rolled over so he told me 4th just to make sure he had it covered. LOL. It's on it's 3rd transmission but still running great on the original motor. He put a pipeline welder's bed on it the day he got it and when I got it I put a plain flatbed on it. It still runs pipeline right of ways daily and has been drug quite a few miles on a cable behind a dozer. It's been well used and abused but she's still a tough old gal. I get a lot of grins outa the guys that poke fun at my old truck when I give em rides down the right of way while their new Z71's are parked along side of the road for fear of gettin a scratch. LOL

I remember when the Powerstrokes first came out, there was a guy in Dothan, Alabama (I think) advertising these new trucks. He called himself the Powerstroke Expert, Powerstrokin Sam! Stopped by to see him one day and asked him what was so great about these new engines. His exact words were "Its simple, that old motor was a 100k mile motor, this new one is a 300k mile motor!"
My dads had 250k on it then, so we just laughed and drove on.

Um, maybe the injectors, but the whole motor? For that matter what engine that was built in the last 30 years was a "100 000 mile engine"
