Help! How to disassemble dashboard? (2008 F250)
Can anybody give some hints on how to disassemble the dashboard on my 2008 F250 FX4? I removed the few screws I could find. But most of the panels seems to be stuck behind the central panel (where the radio and A/C controls are). For the life of me I can't figure how to take it apart.

If you google radio removal for 08 Ford F250, you'll be able to pull up printable instructions from one of the dash kit manufacturers that clearly detail stripping out the center dash. Actually real easy, carefully pry out the two small panels that house , I think, the cigarette lighter and the airbag switch which exposes 2 hex bolts, remove those bolts and, starting at the bottom, carefully pry the center cover off. The majority of the cover is held in place with somewhat fragile clips. I'm not real dainty and managed to do mine without breaking any. A small set of pry picks helps.

I'm trying to see the wires behind the center dashboard panel. I'm looking for the wiring harness plug for the "mirror defrost switch". Not sure if it will be back there or not. So far I did find an extra wiring harness plug behind the spare change holder (I was able to pry it out). This is where the trailer brake controls go (I don't have the factory trailer brake controller). So maybe the defrost wires will be there also.

not the airbag switch...
The panel on the lower left with the 12v power will pop out with a small flat screwdriver from the bottom.
The panel on the lower right with the Aux Line (blank plate for AM/FM only) will pop out the same way
behind these panels are the only two screws holding the center section on...
once you get these... put your hands in those holes with your palms up and your fingers pointed toward the top of the dash, and pull back toward you...
don't pull far without unplugging the other 12v outlet, the airbag switch, and anything else that is plugged in...

Looks like the mirror defrost switch is integral with the A/C controls. So there is not an extra unused wire harness like I thought there might be.
Any know where I can get a wiring diagram?
