Fender Flares

Good Morning Guys,
Just purchased a set of new Take-off fender flares for my 07.They will need to be painted, but thats no big deal. I originally thought these would just screw into the fender lip on the bottom, but they have about 6 plastic clips that are designed to be pushed into the flat part of the fender on the outside.
I guess Im in need of some sort of template to drill the fenders for these round plastic "****" to lock into.
Any ideas?

My flares are just screwed into the fender lip.If you hold the flare firmly against the fender while drilling the holes you can get them to fit nice and tight.I'd recommend putting masking tape on the outside of the fender until you're done trial fitting and drilling etc. to avoid scratching the fenders.
I don't have any close up pics.

Ive got some digitals of the 07,on my garage computer, but have had absolutely no luck in downloading them to FTE,s site....any suggestions will be welcome.

fender flares

where did you get the flares at? How much do the extend out from the side of the truck? I have an 07' that I'm installing a leveling kit and a set of 285x70R17 on and don't want the side of the truck all chipped up from the wider tires.
Thanks
Matt

Ebay...typed in "f-150 wheel well mouldings"...youll find probably three listings on that auction, and if you search f-150 fender flares, youll find about 300...My auction ended with me paying about 150.00 for a set of OEM,s.Theres another set listed even now from the same seller...bids started at around 69.00.
Concerning size, they appear to be about 1/2 inch deep front to back.

try this website: ImageShack

Just upload to them and post the link here. I sometimes have problems uploading to FTE so the quickest way is to use ImageShack. Plus its free!

They definately look different...The only thing I think of when I see these is the Nissan Pickup trucks. They have these type flares.Im going to post some digitals of my OEM flares sometime this weekend. They dont look as pronounced as yours.
I personally have always stayed(as much as possible) to OEM.The Previous owner put the steps, ventshades, bedliner, and bug deflector on it.Since I like all of it,it will stay.
Im not about to say I dont like yours, as you are probably thinking"itll have to grow on me"........

Just took some digitals here in the garage... www.photobucket.com/n5926g
When the sun comes out and STAYS im going to pull her out,and take a nicer shot...
