Best choice? Whats that again? Heck I dont know. Maybe a Demon JR., but they are too expensive. When it is installed this spring, there is a new rebuilt 2V Autolite on the shelf. It was used in '72 Merc.s running 351s, big 1.21 venturi. I'll try that out. It should push rpm's up to 5000 which is good for me.
Will just have to put it to the test and see if there is a bog on acceleration due to its being TOO big.
A flat track/circle track 2V adaptor plate will be used between the carb and intake. It is the same one I had on the Blue Thunder.

That will depend many things, including the manifold. For most street Y's, anything larger than 600 cfm will probably be too big.
If the question is relating to brand, then everyone has their preference. My choice would be a Holley over an Edelbrock but I would like to try a Demon because I have not yet.

Yes there are about 3 or 4 different Holley versions that would be possibilities. Like Charlie said everyone has their preference. Mine is the old Autolite. Someday I'll find a good Autolite 4100 1.08 4V.
