let's talk chrome...who likes chrome?

post pics of various chrome accents, stock or not, on your f250/350/excursion.

i know there's a lot that do not like chrome at all, and there's some that love it. i like it, when tastefully done. but at the same time, i like the blacked out bumpers/wheels/etc look also.

at times, i like chrome bug guards on the hood. i can't decide if i actually want one or not. my paint is black, and personally i love nice chrome wheels/accents the best on a nice shiny black paint job. this is actually one of my favorite new body SD's i've seen to date. i think it's the headlights that sealed the deal for me. he painted the OUTSIDE of the lens. I think they are the coolest looking headlights. i normally don't like most headlights on this body truck, they are so big and stock ones just look horrible to me. usually i like them with black inside housings, but this setup is just super clean IMO.

(not mine, i wish it was!)

so yea, lets see pics of your trucks (or trucks you've seen and like) with various chrome accents. door handles, exhaust tips, bumpers, window vents, bug guards, grilles, headlights (housings), running boards, bed rails, etc!

annnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnndddddddddddddddddddddd dddddddd GO!

Im planning on blacking my truck out (rims too). Plan to have chrome door handles, bumpers, side steps, window vent covers, chrome tips, chrome hub caps, and chrome brush guard. Debating on a chrome bug guard.

I LOVE CHROME
my truck has stock chrome bumpers grill and chrome stainless Westing step bars factory 8hole aluminum wheels. I don't like the chrome stick on door handles, Ford killed that for me after the 90's Heavy Duty trucks. I miss them trucks with stainless mirrors and door handles....

I like chrome that is plated on thick metal.....like old bumpers. The crap they plate on all this plastic nowdays is good until the first small stone or solid bug perforates it and starts the blister cancer. To me that's BS since the grills are usually large and expensive to replace.

yea i agree on the plastic..i loved the OBS trucks with all metal chrome, even the window vent visor things were metal! what's next, plastic bumpers?!

SuperDutyScaler- yea i agree as well, i liked the old metal handles etc, not the stick on crap, but that's really the only option we have now on certain trucks i like the chrome handles, sometimes just the handle itself, sometimes the handle plus the piece behind it also.

great looking trucks BTW guys!

I have a magnetic 2015 XLT FX4 with the chrome package. I am having a dilemma regarding the door handles. The sides of the truck seem to be missing something to me, with the chrome fender vent and chrome mirror top and step bars.

I added the chrome door handles, just the handle piece for now. I'm trying to decide whether to add the bigger pieces that surround them. BTW, these are good quality polished stainless, not plasti-crap. What does everyone think about adding the surround pieces?

BTW the bottom pic is a T-Rex 304 polished stainless mesh bumper grille. Looks nice, but the mounting hardware sucks....

Accounted for, the two trucks side by side (old pic, as the F250 has been worked on some as far as bumper, installing an exterior block heater plug)

At this time I am in the process of chrome deletion, personially don't care for it on trucks, (unless it was done tastefully like the F150 was)

I currently have the blacked out doors, mirrors, and the Tool box to match...black...

Much older pic with the truck as it was purchased

Try them and see if you like them. It's your personal taste. It will, of course, add some bling. If that's what you are after then go for it. You can always take them off.
