why does my 6.0 look different?

I am in the process of replacing #2 injector and when I pulled the valve cover off my high pressure oil rail looks completely different than the intricate casting in most pictures.

Trying to post a link'd picture...by it might not work.

My oil rail is a very simple tube casting with a braided stainless hose attached in the middle. I don't see anything that looks like a "standpipe" to take out.

Was there different versions?

Thanks,
Clint

I can't seem to create an album....I click create, name it enter vehicle info, etc. but then there is no album to add pics to?

The link doesn't work? It seemed to work from another computer here in the office?

You have the 03' 6.0l. The stand pipe goes through the head into the block, that's what the other end of the braided hose connects to.

That's an early build motor.

The ICP sensor is under the turbo.

These systems are a less leak prone than the 05-up ones.
