Last big stick race....Thompson Sept 19th

Ok boys and girls.....................this is IT!! The last hoo raa!!
Sept 19th at Thompson the UMTR will have it final points race of the season. Right now I'm first in points, with a healthy lead, but being a double points meet anything can happen. Three other drivers could mathematically get by me if they have a better day then me, BUT that ain't gunno happ'n!!

Come on up and check it out. You won't go away without a BIG smile on your face. Racing like it USED to be............exciting!

Well I didn't win the race, but I did win the Championship for 2009.

There were 3 other guys in the running for Champ if I went out early in the day. By 2nd round I had locked out 2 guys, but after I lost 3rd round that left it open for #2 to get by me "IF" he got to the final AND won it. In doing so he could beat me by TWO POINTS!!! My luck held out and he lost 4th round and that sealed my fate this year.

The banquet is in November, which I'll be presented with my winnings, which will include: new set of M/T Rims and tires, Lakewood bellhousing, plus many other gift certificates and a few coats to match. Overall the prizes are getting better and better over the years. The first year(2006) I won it and got one windbreaker and a set of rims only. More sponsors have come aboard and it makes a nice Xmas present.
