Ok so what is this piece of equipment called so i dont go to the shop sounding like an idiot? Im pretty knowledgable when it comes to cars and motor mechanics but Ive never heard of a tool that just reads transmission codes. Learn somethin new everyday i guess.
Thanks guys. I have an AMMCO shop in my neighborhood and I just talked to him and he said its almost deffinately that sensor in the differential. I told him the codes i pulled and he said one of them meant that cylinder 3 was misfiring. Any ideas on that?

Sorry about that, did not realize it was a diesel, forget about the plugs and cops, need to get into the diesel forum to get going on an answer for that.
Something off the wall but did this happen right after reconnecting the batteries as in could be a fuse. Check fuse 24 in the battery junction box under the hood. This fuse feeds the electrical power to all three solenoids
