Terrible Exhaust Noise vibration squeaky rattle
As of recently my 99 f150 4x2 4.2 auto has been making a sqeaking vibration that seems to be coming from the exhaust directly below the cab, I can't seem to find a source for the noise. heat shields and stuff look good, I've been eyeing up the bracket that mounts to the side of the transmission(but only because I don't really understand it)
It seems to do it stopped on level ground and pointing slightly downhill uphill not so frequently. sometimes it will squeal/chatter at low speeds but not always, sometimes I can put my foot on the exhaust where it crosses over and stop the noise other times i can't seem to make it stop at all.
It's just really too random to happen on command for a mechanic to see. just wondering if you know of anybody in a similar situation, or if you yourself may be in a similar situation. As always any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks all.
