My 93 will not shift to 4wd. It is a push botton and the low rang light stays on next to the botton and on the dash all the time. It used to click when I pushed to bottons, but now nothing. I follewed the wires from the bottons and they go into a bigger wire bundle in the dash. 2 question
1. What makes the clicking sound when the botton are pushed

2. What could be my problem

You should post this on the `87-`96 F-Series page, I`m sure guys there have had that problem.
I would think the click you were hearing was a relay but I am still in the era of a large lever to manually shift to four wheel drive.
