does anyone have any feedback/comments on the Dr. Performance Predator chip? Pros/Cons?

 

If it's a plug-in module like I think it is and not a flash programmer then it's just like the rest of the plug-in modules--JUNK. It can't do anything constructive for your transmission but DEstruct it. Get an SCT that will reprogram your truck the right way.

how does the SCT work? is it a handheld programmer or a monitor that stays in the truck like the Spartan Dashdaq? Does the SCT come with programs already on it or do you have to buy the programs seperate?

 

The SCT re- programs the code in all 3 computers. Not just masking the sensor reading the stck computer sees.

If you order the SCT from Innovative Diesel or Spartan you pay for 3 custom tunes with the purchace. You have to get the tuner and then they e-mail you the programs.

 

are you talking about the SCT Livewire? It says it comes with 3 tunes on it and then you can add custom tunes?

 

I don't think that Spartan does SCT anymore. However, if you get an SCT X-3 there is an archive of tunes you can download and install on the X-3 on here somewhere. Only SCT for the 6.0, except for the Phalynx from Spartan. Trust us...

The Live Wire has been problematic for some. I have the X-3 programed from Eric @ Innovative Diesel and it works very well.
I did weeks of research on this subject before I purchaced and I found the X-3 was the highest rating in the 6.0.

Good luck and ya..... I wouldnt plug it back in either.
