Which model bilsteins are best? When parked on a sloped driveway (facing uphill) I measured the distance between the front shock mounting bolts and it was 19.5 and after jacking up one side the extended length was 21.5 so after the RSK and V codes I will definitely need new shocks.

Hey, that's my truck!! Cept mine has a7.3, same color, course yours looks MUCH better, mine is stock height, stock rims and 235/85 donut cutters. I pull a 5th wheel with it, and really don't want to raise the trailer up any more, so I think I am just going to go with wider rims and 285's for now,,, what is your overall lift, and what size tires,,, I am going to show yours to the wife might help change her mind!

Yep, gray, my 94 I had had the blue, I bought this one about 6 mos ago, the po had already added a Gear Vendor to the ZF, AND a BD exhaust brake and 3" down pipe, and air-bags, poor thing had 84,500 miles on it I went ahead and straight-piped it and removed the cconv/soot filter, and then put a Reese 5th wheel hitch in,,, talk about a hard frame, even stepping up in bits, I went through a few of my good ones. Not sure why, but he lowered the center support bearing,,, must be somthing with the GV unit,,, I will see, tows great, 12.5 give or take GVW 16,500 21.5 empty, cept up here in the mtns,,, and my heavy right foot.

I finished the Sky manufact RSK with V code SD front leafs and also did the rear with B code SD leafs and put on 5125's all around. Rides so much better but the bounce from the frame flex is still nagging me. I am thinking about having the frame boxed. The truck now handles even better than before and I whip that thing around corners just as fast as any stock truck. Cary at ctperformance was key to getting this RSK done. He is great and has more experience with the RSK than anyone you are likely to find.

Call Cary at 775-835-3569 and tell him Andrew suggested that you speak with him about the RSK. Here is Carys site Home and I also got the bilsteins from him. I forget the tire size but I think they are around 33". I bought the drop pitman arm from Sky but did not need it. The drop bracket for the trac bar puts the mounting point of the trac bar too close to the sway bar so I have to remove the trac bar drop bracket, reinstall the original bracket to the factory location and then cut the trac bar in half and either sleeve it or chuck it up in the lathe and thread each size and use a coupling nut to make my own adjustable trac bar. To buy one is around $180.

Yes. Cary is VERY VERY knowledgable when it comes to the suspensions on these trucks

As for finding SD springs you can go to your local 4x4 shop and see if they have any stock SD springs from a lift they installed, Or a JY, Or you can go to ford and buy them new. ......O yeah the "B" codes are the best ridding rear ones
what year SD are you talking here?
if they bolt in the same location, how do they offer a better ride?

im looking for help here, where iv included pics:
https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/9...onversion.html

I know this thread is old... but is this homemade? I want an RSK but I dont need 3 (or 5) inches of lift. I really just want about an inch but would really like the "better ride" that goes with the shackle reversal.
