Do you have any pictures of the amp install? that interests me very much. I am quite unhappy with the stock stereo and an upgrade is in my not so distant future.

For picture resizing I have found that there is no better program than Windows picture resizer. Right click on the picture or pictures and choose your size. It's a small program that is part of the power tools package, but you can just download the resizer. It's on the right hand side near the bottom. It's labeled Image Resizer.

No Problem. I always try to make the pix 640x480 for forum posts, otherwise it widens the thread and makes it hard to read.

ya i am interested how you installed the amps. i do this for a living and made my decision up awhile ago to put a fold down dvd player. i always tig weld all of my brackets and mounts for my amps so that they are built into the car behind all of the panels. i am also looking at getting that stealth box how do you like it? i have one in my dodge 2500 and is a fiberglass stealth box. i will be installing everything between now and the end of the year.

Had a little drama with the stealth box, this was 2 years ago,I special ordered the first one for an 07 Expy here in Co,JL Audio failed to mention it was for the EL.My AV guys did some mods and it fit and has great sound.I've been toying with the idea of two 10's mounted in the lift gate.I'll get some pictures of the amps and fan today.

i saw that it was for an EL. i talked to my rep from jl and he said that it would fit a normal expedition with mods. he failed to mention what mods. do you know what your A/V guy had to do to make it fit. i have been trying to find a different area to put a sub i was thinking below the center console but havent really gotten a chance to look i will probably end up trying to look at it this weekend. i am going to end up putting in a Pioneer AVIC-Z110BT navigation, dvd HU and an Alpine PKG-RSE2 fold down dvd player. i will end up going with either JL or Alpine amp. polk or kicker door speakers, and either alpine, jl, or polk sub. cant figure out what i want.

How about a shallow mount sub in a false floor over the jack storage area?

My guy had to cut the top right corner off the box (about where the rear cup holder sat)then re-sealed the box.I'm happy with the sound, much better than the stock sub and more dynamic.

Sounds like you'll have a nice set-up,I look forward to the pic's.

Cut a $550 box doesn't seem right.

I know, right!I had overnighted the damn thing too just to find out it didn't fit.Custom box in the same place is the way to go,if I had to do it again, that's what I'd do.Seriously thinking about those 10's in the lift gate though....spent way too much money on the truck as is,can't justify it....

if you put a set of 10's in the tailgate you are going to have to add supports and have a sealed built in box on the tailgate. im guessing by having it on the tailgate they are going to raddle more.
