I have a buddy that is selling a 6.0 Trans Cooler and Inter cooler...i was just wondering what a fair price was for each of them. thanks

Also what is the advantages to putting them on my truck? I have A 2002 7.3

 

Advantages:

IC: Lower EGTs.

Trans cooler: Lower transmission temps

I have both but only the IC is installed so far. I had to give 150 each. I got the IC off an FTE member and I got the trans cooler locally. It's a brand new 31 row I intend to install as soon as I get some time.

 

I paid $100 for my trans cooler and $200 for my IC, plus shipping.

The advantage of the IC is a cooler charge going into the motor. That helps with a better burn AND lowers EGTs.

 

As far as the IC,I couldn't tell,I don't have one,as far as the 6.0 trans. cooler,I bought a 26 row 6.0 trans.cooler for like $50.and it lowered my trans.temps by about 50*.After drag racing hard for like an hour and a half,my trans.temps never got above 150.I haven't done any towing since the install,but I'm sure it's only better.
