They wouldn't, but you can get better bulbs than that. Get a 100/90W Narva or Xtravision instead. Silverstars are actually dimmer than their conventional counterparts. The Silverstars use a coating which removes some of the yellow light, causing the bulbs to appear to have a whiter light. The whiter light appears to be brighter because of the way our eyes perceive it, but dimmer is still dimmer. A silverstar of a given wattage will be dimmer than a conventional halogen of the same wattage and filament type.

To get the most out of whatever bulb you use, you need a headlight relay kit, which provides the bulbs with more useful power. Its not your lenses I would worry about, its your stock wiring. The relays bypass the undersized stock wiring and reduce the stress of your headlight switch and multifunction switch.

I have the siverstar ultras and what bear river said i'm not going to bash but the light does seem like it's brighter. I've had physics classes and I remember them stating the color of light that is best for the eyes, it isn't yellow or white but it's blue or green or something due to the wave lengths. i see them as being a cleaner looking light, yellow seems drab to me.

anyways they won't damage your original lenses. if you are looking for high performance bulbs and re-wiring, could try to find a kit for HID. They use a ballast and different type of bulb instead of the traditional halogen. brother had them on his gto and they were brighter but there is no hi-beams.

i have the silverstars on my 2003 Ex - I did the swap to those bulbs at the same time I did the lense clean up kit and I felt there was a difference that I was happy with for the CASH I spent out of pocket.

Nothing will replace going with HID kits, but they can be big cash

I've had the silverstar ultra's in my '01 for 2 years, they certainly "look brighter" to me. When they burn out I will replace them with the same bulb. I even put a set in my wife's "08 pathfinder (same size bulb, it even has a ford emblem on the assembly)

i had silverstars for 2 years and they aint gonna hurt nothin. The only reason i got rid of them is cause i got projector lights(another good choice) but they are much brighter and better than stock

Its amazing that Sylvania and others can pull the wool over everyones eyes. Silverstars probably are brighter than most stock bulbs, but they are still not as bright as an uncoated bulb with a similar wattage and filament. The Sylvania Xtravision is not only cheaper than a Silverstar, it is brighter. Its almost exact same thing, except the Xtravision does not have the color filter. You can get brighter halogens than the Xtravisions. The trick is your wiring needs to be able to support the brighter bulbs.

The Crystal visions are the same problem. Blue light is not good for night driving. It blinds other drivers and impairs your own night vision.

Upgrade to a higher wattage uncoated halogen, aim the lenses properly, and upgrade your wiring. I've done it, and I have a worse headlight than yours. (Aerostars have a poor beam pattern). No bulb will fix the poor pattern, but going with some offish color color screened bulb will not improve your visibility. Also do some reading and educate yourself about headlights. Educate yourself about the effects of different light colors, the pros and cons, etc. Then we can move away from this BS opinion and get to the facts.
