.30 over 7.3 question
i have had my 92 f250 for a while, however recently i crcked the heds. an in my scearch for nother set i ran accross a 7.3 .30 over. my question is would the .30 over hurt the power nd performancce of the diesel? or coud it work to my advntage like in a gasoline engine? and also i advnced the timing on my injection pump and i was told i need to put a pyrometer in, where coul i get one, and is one brand better than another?

I would never bore out a 7.3. The cylinder walls are purty thin to begin with.

What you really want is .30 under
Get a later 6.9, if you have a choice.
Those of us with a 7.3 worry about cavitation of the already too thin cylinder walls leading to water leaking in. Once that happens, the block is trash, unless you believe in sleaves...
