Sway bar...

I love it - the truck rides fine empty and even better towing or hauling the Lance. Hope this helps...

I believe (someone please correct me if I am wrong) that the camper package on the F250 adds a rear stabilizer bar and an overload leaf to the rear axle, along with "potentially" heavier springs front and rear (depending on other options).
I have the camper package in my truck, and have yet to have a camper in it (maybe one day). I do pack two sleds on a deck over (high CG) and the stabilizer bar is sure nice for that; also, the overload springs don't touch when the truck is static, but they do on some bumps.
I haven't driven in non camper package f250's too often, so I can't compare the ride.
Hope this helps,
JE

I test drove a F250 that did not have the camper package before purchasing my pickup that does have the package. The Camper Package does stiffen the ride a little, but it still rides very nice. For just towing a trailer, I don't think that the Camper Package is needed, but you would want to at least add a stabilizer bar to the rear. If you are going to tow a fifth wheel like I do, than I would definitely recommend the Camper Package.

That slip of paper is your "get out of jail free card" should you have an accident with a camper on the truck and the other person hires an attorney stating the truck was "not recommended for slide in camper". Most trucks are overloaded with a slide in camper and some are not recommended to carry one. That's how my first truck was but now I have camper package and I am within my GVW (peace of mind).

All 2001 F350 DRW Super Duties came standard with front and rear stabilizer bars. See Page 27 of the link below:
