can i see your lift kits??

I've got a 2000 250 5.4 and i'm looking for about a 4" to 6" lift kit. I do have some previous experience lifting trucks...

....but never a super duty. What's the prefered kit and do you guys have pics?? Nothing like above lol....that's a nine inch lift on 44"s. In case you're curious...'78 Power Wagon with a 440 magnum, dana 60 floaters, detroit lockers, interior cage, art carr tranny cooler and slap shifter, monster motorsports built 727 trans, rockwell transfer case, hydraulic ram steering, simpson harnesses, recaro seats, autometer phantom white guages, 527HP at the wheels. Ah the good ol' military days. No more Dodges for me though.

I bought the sky jacker z-link kit 8" but they have a three inch. You might want to check it out. It's a bolt on kit but I went back and welded a few pieces. Takes the leaf springs off and replaces it with a four link kit. If you are interested in pics let me know. just got out of sleep apnea surgery and not up to goin out and takin pics at the moment. lol

yeah fordfan that's a nice nice truck. I really like where that's sitting. If you don't mind how much did that kit run you? And were there any other parts you needed not included with the kit?

i actualy bought the truck with it installed already..

but as far as the kit goes its got all the parts from the Procomp 4"kit, but none of the extras, like dual shocks or similar..

the 4" Procomp is pretty complete thou, everything u need is included including pitman arm and track bar bracket and such...

http://www.explorerprocomp.com/PDFs/07cat/28-43.pdf

if u scroll down to the 99-04 model year, u can se the kit and all the parts u get..

2003 F250 FX4. Leaf front and rear. I have a procomp 4" and installed it myself. I like it very much. I don't know how how to post pix but I would be glad to show it off if someone clues me in. Real quick instructions: Remove front bumper - You will need to heat the front spring bolt going through the front mounting point. Remove and replace springs, install all the supplied steering and link stuff. Remove the rear springs and disassemble the spring set and add the supplied spring.

Reinstall the the rear springs and put the spacer in place.
Install all four shocks.

I didn't like the stacked blocks so I had a local spring shoop build me a set of steel blocks.
You will need acouple of big wrenches and some armstrong.
I had no help and did in a weekend and and 18 pak.
Paid about a grand if I recall.
Good luck.

Thanks. Its the stock bumper, I have the sport package so the bumpers are painted to match the truck. The winch pushes it out 5" but the skirting kit fills in the gap and with it being a dark truck it looks like one piece.

Below is a photo my '03 with a 4" BDS lift using Rancho front leaf springs (one of only a few companies that make different springs for a gasser v. diesel). I moved up from 265 to 285 tires; happy staying close to what I had without screwing up the drive ratio. I'm happy and it has a good stance now compared the the "grand-pa" look it had originally.

I use to have a '66 F-100 on 44" tires; I swore I'd never lift my trucks again; oh well!
