I posted a version of the below in other thread so just included it here as it applies, but the mainreason I'm responding is that if you buy a new tray, there is no longer a notch. It is a hole and looks much like G Ford Man's photo above.

In my case it was $90 for a new tray because it appears the tray was never installed from the factory. The original screws were in place, socked all the way in, with no sign of a tray every having been installed. The new trays don't have a notch for the tray to "slide out" if the screws come loose so no need to drill an extra hole or anything else. In my case the screws were still plenty snug going into the plastic so I didn't bother with a locking washer, it's not going anywhere.

1. From the completely CLOSED position, take the glass out.
2. CLOSE THE SHADE (important as someone else mentioned)
3. Install the drain channel (two screws)
4. Open the shade and install the glass.

To align the glass, I used a ratcheting screwdriver handle on the torx. I installed all four screws till they were snug enough to where I could manipulate the glass but it would hold position. I then did one side at a time. Using a step stool and the running board I was able to align the height of the glass while reaching in to tighten the torx.

Once all four torx were pretty tight and I was happy with the alignment, I moved inside the cab to do the finish tightening.

It took me less than 30 minutes, including finding the right torx and cleaning the glass while it was off. Well... ok.. to be honest I guess it really took about 7 years + just under 30 minutes.
