Compromise for Club FTE members

LAST EDITED ON 22-Mar-01 AT 05:36 PM (EST)[p]A few people have asked about the policy of no signature links to web sites running banner ads or linking to your company.

I've worked out a compromise. The guideline will still be in place for non-Club FTE members.

Club FTE members, however, can link to their personal web site running banner ads so long as it is not a for-profit venture (ie, the ads pay for hosting the site). Additionally, Club FTE members with a regional business that does not sell products via the Internet may place a link to their site in their posting signature.

I feel this compromise strikes a good balance between the need for FTE not to be used as a free advertising medium and value gained by being a member of Club FTE.

I welcome your comments.

Hello Ken, I think the compromise that you have described, is great. We cant ask for anything more. I feel that by allowing us to post a link, it lets people see what our background is. I think that by becoming a member, we pay a very small price to help keep this board going.

I look forward to continued support of this board.

Again thanks.
