I have heard of people tack welding the heads and then with liberal use of a penetrant such as P B Blaster, using a wrench to turn off the nuts.

Try using the impact gun going in the "tighten" direction and snap them off. Use your impact or breaker bar, your going to be replacing them with new anyway. Much easier then cranking on an old rusty nut and or bolt to get it off!!

I'm not sure if this will help with your truck but on the '48-52 I've had I removed the few bolts that hold the entire front clip onto the truck, remove the clip as one piece and flip it upside down and go at with first a six point socket, then if that doesn't work I go for either an angle grinder or torch to cut the nuts off of the bolt. Rarely, very rarely, have I ever been able to just unbolt the fender bolts. It's a lot fast the other ways.

If you don’t like any of the above, which are all good, heat, heat, and heat is the enemy of rust, oxy acetylene heat nut to dull red, spin ‘er off, burn fingers and toes.

ditto what everyone else said above. flip front clip over and torch anything that does not twist off quickly.
I found a 52 at a local pick and pull this spring and you can't torch anything there so I was lucky to get most of the fender bolts to just twist off, a few are hard to reach and gave me a little trouble but I got lucky with getting them off. I was thinking I would get all but 2 bolts and have to leave them behind but I guess the planets were aligned that day LOL I only bloodied a couple knuckles too

good luck

I used a 3/8 rachet/ six point socket, tightened (clockwise), broke those suckers off, and removed the rear fenders in a few minutes. Only the back bottom bolt was so rusty the inside rotated. Visegrips did the trick. Just a few bolts and whole front end comes off. I found this on a previous thread. Someone needs to write a tips book/manual. I have found the best internet suggestions are on FTE. chuck

No dumb questions on here .Maybe some smart a@# answers every so often .Remember all of us were beginers on this Early Ford truck stuff at one time . Rusty parts are just one of the items you just accept while working on these old beautys .I had some front end nuts turn off with just 2 threads left on the nut .Won't break of when you need them to .Am dealing with some rust issues on certian parts of the stock '52 build .Blasting ,priming & painting the seat back & bottom frame was a real treat .
