to be honest though, the 4.6 tranny will bolt right up to a 5.4...just won't last as long with the difference in TQ. Same with the rear axle. 4.6 has a 8.8, 5.4 has a 9.75 axle
have you considered upgrading to another truck? in 2007 Ford offered the STX with the 5.4...but pulled that option for the 2008 models.
