Complete rebuild manual?

Does anyone know if there is a manual or website that documents a complete rebuild like an assembly manual? I'm restoring a '55 that has been sitting 30 years in pieces and want to make sure I don't miss anything.

The closest thing to what you are talking about is a Shop Manual. They are invaluable and can be found on ebay.

Ditto Randy Jack's suggestion, you've gotta have the manual. And I'll add that an old Motors Truck and Tractor Repair Manual would also be cheap help. They are on eBay all the time too. Stu

Actually it helps if youhave a couple books...the shop manual is a must. But if you can get a copy of the 48-56 Ford Truck Parts and Accessories - Illustrations Catalogue, it has all those nice exploded assembly drawings.

Also there is a soft cover book on the market that specifically addresses restorations titled : "How to Restore Your Ford Pick-up" by Tom Brownell, ISBN 0-87938-726-2.

Here is an e-bay link with a picture, but this guys smokin dope if he thinks anyone is going to pay $90 for it.....$25 at the most. Mine were $14.95 two years ago.
