I just used a two position button switch and mounted it to the side of the dash. One push disables the nav and another push enables it.

2006 navigator vss wire switch

about the VVS green cable with black stripe

please can you tell me what i have to do this cable ? i have same problem as you have i want fix i want change for a new radio dvd system
