Any tips to install Magnaflow 15755 on a '05 Expedition?

Greetings, my first post. Any tips to installing a new Magnaflow cat back exhaust #15755 on an '05 5.4 Expedition? I did a search and didn't see much. Looks like I would want to cut the stock exhaust pipe as close to where it starts to go over the half-shaft as possible in order to get it out easily rather than just cutting behind the muffler. How about installation? Best to let the right rear tire hang for additional clearance? I have a 4-post lift, but can probably only lift the Expedition a couple feet in the air (10' ceiling), but that would probably put the exhaust system 3.5 feet off the floor. I can then lift the rear tire off the runway to let the suspension droop. How long did it take you? Thanks!

i have the same kit on my 03. there are directions on their website. install was pretty easy(granted, i had a ford tech installing it on a full-rise lift). he had it done fairly quicky. be forewarned, the system sounds good. there is a lot of drone on the highway though.

Thanks. Yea, I already have the install instructions, was wonder about real-world installation, as it always looks so easy on paper. Interesting about the drone, virtually all other comments I've seen or heard suggest there is little to no drone. I'm looking for little to no drone, and relatively quiet for this daily driver. I have plenty of loud cars. LOL

Does your blower build any boost at low highway RPM? That could contribute to your drone. Both my Paxton cars seem to resonate at lower speeds more than my normally aspirated cars even using the same mufflers. Thanks!

nah, had the kit on before the blower. around town, it's not bad. highway speeds there is a little drone. not like a flowmaster, but it's there. when i am by myself, i really don't notice cause the radio is up anyways, but with a full load of people, radio isn't as loud.

Thanks for your input, now I'm really on the fence. Sure wish I could find someone within 100 miles that I could actually be in the car and hear it first hand. Not much chance of that.
